20.01.2012, B72, Vienna, Austria
La Dispute, the new rising star at the posthardcore horizon were playing their only Austrian show in the sold out B72, Vienna. Their new album “Wildlife” became album of the year 2011 in VISIONS magazine and if you have never listened to them before: listen now!
The B72 is known as a club with a small stage and no photo pit at all. As a concert photographer this can be sometimes really tedious struggling with the audience. For hardcore concerts I have changed my opinion now and forever. I don´t need at photo pit and I don´t want to see one anymore!
As La Dispute entered the stage, the released a raw power that within the first chords the audience went crazy. This is when the fun begin as photographer. Find a good spot where you can get the best out for your pictures, but always be aware what is going on behind your back. You definitely don´t want to be hit from a crowd surfer and drop your camera into this mosh pit.
